What is the best part of working at Stravito?
Since we emphasize heavily on cultural fit when recruiting, working with my colleagues is always the best thing.

How is it different from where you’ve worked before?
The possibility to always experiment and challenge existing paradigms, there are few things set in stone and it is encouraged to “think outside the box”.

Can you describe the company culture and how it impacts your work?
I would describe the company culture as very open and encouraging, everyone is free to step outside their zone and bring forward their ideas. It creates an atmosphere where you always feel safe to question plans, bring up issues and make your part of the decision process.

Can you share a memorable moment or experience you’ve had while working at Stravito?
Getting last place at our Settlers of Catan company tournament. I want a re-match.

What does Remote First mean for you in your work?
More focus at work, easier to flex in time for things like household chores, more time with my cats. It’s always easy to get a hold of people for a quick chat via video, voice or text, so I do not miss the in-person aspect of connecting that much.

How has your career at Stravito progressed?
I started as a Software Engineer and still am, although the areas I’m working with have changed over time in conjunction with my interests.

Biggest mistake you’ve made at Stravito?
Not taking the Catan tournament seriously enough, apparently we have a lot of people in the company that could go pro.

How do you explain what we do to your parents/children?
I tell them I work with computers and then usually switch the conversation focus.
