Group Financial Controller
We're looking for smart, kind, hard-working and curious minds to join us on our mission. Maybe that’s you?
Large organisations consistently make important decisions without the intelligence they already own — because they can't find what they have, can't see what they're missing, and can't act on it fast enough to matter.
We are Stravito and this is the problem we solve.
Due to the universal nature of the problem, our customers come from various industries all around the world. We help world-leading organizations, such as McDonald’s, Nestlé and Heineken, better understand their customers and make better, insights-backed decisions by organizing their knowledge and making it easy to access through our intuitive platform.
We really mean it when we say we're a diverse and international team as our team of 100 has more than 30 different nationalities! We are guided by our operating principles: simplicity first, an “own it, do it” mentality, embracing different perspectives, and enjoying the journey together.
About the job
As our Group Financial Controller, you will own the numbers across our Swedish, UK and US entities, from transaction to internal management, board and investor reports, and step by step change how the work behind them gets done. This is a hands-on role with a lot of ownership in a small finance team with a wide scope. You will report to our VP Finance and work closely with our CEO, the leadership team and our external partners.
We want our own finance function to run on the same principle we offer our customers: accurate numbers, fast, with minimal manual effort. Owning the numbers comes first. Alongside that, you will shape how finance works at Stravito: what agents can do, where people come in, and what to automate or bring in-house, while keeping controls strong. Success means a faster close, confident reporting and more time for insights.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Month-end close, consolidation and statutory reporting for our Swedish parent company and our UK and US entities
Management reporting, budget and forecast follow-up, and SaaS metrics together with the VP Finance
Cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
Financial material for the board and investors
Managing external accounting, payroll and tax partners, audits and internal controls
Initiating and driving improvement projects through completion, and putting AI and automation into production where they prove their value
Owning the finance systems stack (Light and Claude) and its integrations, and measuring impact in close days, hours saved and errors avoided
About you
We believe that you have extensive experience from accounting, controlling and group reporting, ideally with a Big Four or audit foundation, and are skilled at owning the close and improving how it gets done. You demonstrate a strong knowledge of Swedish statutory reporting and K3 and/or IFRS, and a willingness to develop and learn. We know few finance professionals have built AI workflows in production yet, so we do not expect a finished playbook, but we do expect strong fundamentals and curiosity. With strong communication skills you effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the business.
To be successful in this role, you need:
5+ years in accounting, controlling and group reporting, ideally with a Big Four or audit foundation
Hands-on experience with statutory and group reporting for a Swedish company
Experience from a fast-moving international setting, ideally within tech, SaaS or subscription businesses
A track record of initiating an improvement and showing the result: implementing or migrating a system, harmonising a chart of accounts, automating a reconciliation or forecast, or shortening the close
Hands-on use of AI tools in your own work, and drive to put scalable systems in place
To enjoy startup pace and ambiguity, and want to change how things are done, not only keep them running
Fluent English; Swedish is a plus
This role can be based in Stockholm (hybrid) or remote, but you will need to be a current resident for tax purposes in Sweden (preferred), the Netherlands or the UK.
The salary range for this role depends on location and will proactively be shared with you in the first interview.
What’s in it for you?
You will join a remote-first and globally spread team, with company events a couple of times each year as the icing on the cake 🎂 We offer a fun, collaborative environment where everyone truly cares and helps each other. We have zero micro-management and instead you are encouraged to cultivate your own processes while giving and receiving feedback for improvement. Add to that a competitive compensation package, the possibility of working with cutting-edge technology in our industry (such as GenAI) and to be part of simplifying the professional lives of many - what’s not to like?
We look forward to hearing from you!
